NaeTec Ltd has a small but growing range of products. We offer superconducting current leads which are highly configurable to meet client's requirements. We also offer related products such high current capability cables for connecting power supplies to cryogenic devices and also installation accessories to make current lead installation easier.

Where we are

NaeTec Ltd is based in the Hutt valley at the lower end of the North Island of New Zealand. This is an ideal location for this business as New Zealand has a long history of research and commercialization of many forms of electromagnets. Since the 1970’s much of the world’s demand for magnet components for ion beam lines have been manufactured in Auckland. Several other companies support this activity with precision magnetic sensors and other specialist capabilities all available within New Zealand. [para] The discovery in 1987 and subsequent development of the world’s first commercialised high temperature superconductors took place at the Department of Science and Industrial Research (Lower Hutt). This new technology and the surrounding commercial capabilities have further added to New Zealand being the ideal location for commercial activity surrounding industrial electromagnets.
